Does Jay Farrar ever slow down? Apparently not - since he decided to
collaborate and record a bunch of old folk tunes with Anders Parker. This song in particular is dark in nature -
something that Jay Farrar has a tendency to gravitate towards.
I like what the pair has done here with this tune. It was originally written by the Reverend J.M. Gates, who according to Wikipedia, was "an American Christian preacher and gospel music singer".
The last place I'd expect to find Jesus would be in a

Great country song here -- could even see Glen Campbell singing it. Lauderdale, a Statesville, North Carolina native, released two albums at the same time last year, which may explain why his new stuff went under the radar.
